When talking to a young person of faith about subjects such as sex and relationships it's important to know their feelings on certain issues and to respect their values system, even if it is difficult to understand them.

Even a brief understanding of what major religions teach about relationships and sex gives the professional tools that will help them meet a young person’s needs more fully.

It is always worth asking a young person what they believe about issues, rather than making assumptions.
